This year, one of the things we are trying to develop is students’ ability to learn effectively outside the classroom. Using six tried and tested strategies, we hope that students will be able to ensure the way they study or revise at home is as effective as possible. It is one thing to be able to remember something soon after it has been taught, but quite another to properly learn it so that it can be remembered and understood months later.

The six strategies will be referred to in class and taught throughout the year. Posters showing each of the strategies are displayed in every classroom and are shown below for your information.
