Excellent GCSE success for Liskeard School Year 11

We are delighted with the brilliant achievements of our Year 11 students following the release of this year’s GCSE results. Liskeard Year 11 students have done brilliantly well!

We are so proud of the effort, determination, creativity and strength of character displayed by this outstanding group of young people. We have seen huge steps forward in attainment and progress across the year group and we are so excited about a set of results which continue to build on a legacy of success.

We are so proud of every individual and want to say a huge thank you and well done to the students for all their hard work, resilience and courage. We are also hugely grateful to the parents, carers, families and staff who have offered so much support to our amazing school community. We are delighted that our students continue to distinguish themselves as kind, courageous and resilient members of the school community as well as continuing to show such excellent success in their learning and personal development.

Headteacher Dan Wendon said ‘I am utterly delighted with the success of Year 11 who have absolutely done themselves and the whole community proud with this set of excellent results. It is very pleasing to see students continuing to represent themselves and their school in such a positive way. I am so grateful to them and to their parents, carers, families and friends for offering such excellent support as they take the next steps in life with the best possible chance to succeed.’

We are welcoming applications to Liskeard School Sixth Form and with such strong GCSE results anticipate strong interest in places.
