The 20th Annual Art, Design and Photography Exhibition 2023
This year’s 20th annual exhibition concludes a wonderful year of creative work within the arts faculty. Returning to pre-Covid coursework expectations, one hundred and twenty-six students have worked incredibly hard to conclude courses in Art, Design and Photography. Their work demonstrates genuine understanding, aesthetic awareness, visual intelligence, energy, and excitement throughout. Set within the context of art history, the students have applied visual grammar with increasing complexity, understanding and sophistication, in a range of media and on a range of scales, resolving informed choices and working with increasing confidence and independence.
Members of the Creative and Performing Arts team would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all our students on another dazzling year. GCSE and A Level courses, various ensembles, performances, exhibitions, workshops for all Key Stages, visits to exhibitions in London and universities have really enriched and inspired our school community throughout the year. A special mention must go to our Articulate team who, for the second time, represented the school at the national final in the National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, London. We all look forward to results day in the summer in the knowledge that the quality of creative work has been outstanding. Well done to all who have exhibited and performed their work for public appreciation and critique. All those who have exhibited or performed personal work will acknowledge, it is always a brave and reflective process and one which you should all be immensely proud of.
