Inspiring Future Leaders: MP Anna Gelderd Visits Our School for UK Parliament Week
As part of #UKParliamentWeek, we had the privilege of welcoming the new MP for South East Cornwall, Anna Gelderd, to our school!
During her visit, Ms. Gelderd joined a session with our Student Council members, sharing insights about her role, what a typical day as an MP looks like, and the journey to becoming one.
Students asked some incredible questions, covering topics like the skills needed to be an MP, the highlights of the job, and even tackling tough policy issues – questions worthy of the media spotlight!
Afterwards, Ms. Gelderd expressed how impressed she was by the enthusiasm and thoughtfulness of our students. She praised them for being so well-informed and shared her excitement about working with us over the next four and a half years.
Another unforgettable experience for our Student Council – and we hope this inspires them to dream big and take on new challenges in the future!
