Liskeard Sixth Form Students Gain Real-World Business Insights with Trewithen Dairy CEO

Liskeard Sixth Form Business students recently enjoyed an informative and interactive session with Paul Berne, the CEO of Trewithen Dairy. As part of their studies on business growth, students had the unique opportunity to hear first-hand about Trewithen Dairy’s recent acquisition by German dairy company Ehrmann. Paul provided valuable insights into the strategic reasons behind the takeover and discussed the numerous benefits this merger promises for both businesses and the local community.

Paul highlighted how the takeover supports the growth and expansion of Trewithen Dairy’s brand, bringing increased visibility and job opportunities to the area. He also addressed how this partnership could promote greater investment in the local economy, making it a positive development for everyone involved.

Paul treated students to samples from Trewithen’s latest product ranges—a treat that was both informative and delicious, sparking some enthusiastic feedback! The session was filled with engaging discussions and questions, allowing students to connect the theoretical knowledge from their classroom to a real-world business scenario.

We are immensely grateful to Paul and Trewithen Dairy for their time and willingness to share this experience, which gave our students a glimpse into the intricacies of business growth and international partnerships. This visit was a  hugely inspiring moment for the next generation of business leaders at Liskeard Sixth Form.
