Household Support Fund 2024
Dear Parent / Carer,
The Government recently announced that they would be extending the Household Support Fund for a further 6 months to cover the period until 30th September 2024.
As you will be aware, Cornwall Council have previously used some of this funding to issue £80 vouchers to parents of children in receipt of free school meals.
They have decided to change their approach this year and will instead be issuing payments to either: families in receipt of Council Tax Support, or families who have been placed in emergency accommodation by the Council.
These payments will continue to be made at £80 per child and by using this new approach, they can extend their offer to include children of any age that a qualifying family is responsible for. Previously, they could not include pre-school age children or those above year 11, who remained in further education.
If you are already in receipt of Council Tax Support, then you don’t have to do anything else – you will receive your payment automatically.

It is important that you submit your application by 31st May 2024.
